JOB TITLE:

PR & Social Media Coordinator

LOCATION:

Sheffield or Bradford Based

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the ETG (Engineering Technology Group) Marketing Manager the principal job purpose of the role will be to innovatively coordinate the PR & Social Media objectives of the overall ETG Business strategy incorporating both the Bowers Group & Eclipse Magnetics requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Support the development and implementation of the ETG PR & Social Media strategy;
  • Produce high-standard content in the form of case studies, press releases and web content in line with the Group’s activities;
  • Hold responsibility for all social media activity (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and managing corporate social media accounts to improve and promote the Group’s brands;
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Design & Development, Engineering) to highlight and optimise potential PR opportunities;
  • Liaise directly with various stakeholders for content approval;
  • Ensure that all stories and messaging for the Group are communicated effectively;
  • Managing paid-for media monitoring services;
  • Monitor trade media features lists in order to propose suitable media campaigns;
  • Build strong relationships with trade media;
  • Serve as point of contact for media requests;
  • Produce monthly reports evaluating the effectiveness of social media channels and make recommendations for improvements;
  • Maintain a thorough awareness of developments and trends in digital marketing and communications both nationally and internationally and make recommendations as appropriate;
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and make recommendations as appropriate for adopting new methods of communication and delivery;
  • Ensure effective liaison / relationship management with other departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers;
  • Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems;
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate;
  • Attend Group / Management / Site meetings as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS:
  • Good level of academic education
  • Good level of experience in a similar role within a busy / diverse office environment
  • Strong B2B PR background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • First-class written communicator with a knack for seeing a PR opportunity in even the most uninspiring stories
  • Thorough understanding of PR through social media platforms
  • Able to think creatively and innovatively
  • Good capacity to organize efficiently, multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
  • Prior agency or more general in-house communications experience
  • A personable nature and the tenacity to quickly build a valuable media network

JOB PURPOSE:

As Technical Sales Engineer you will play a key administrative role in supporting the sales team and provide an important link between the salesperson and the customer.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • 1. Specific responsibilities include dealing with enquiries, progress calls and information requests from customers and the external sales team.
  • 2. You will operate as the first point of contact for customers, who may need assistance with orders, quotations or complaints.
  • 3. Technical Sales Engineers must be efficient and adaptable workers with good all-round administrative abilities, including a working knowledge of spreadsheets; furthermore excellent customer service skills and to be a good organiser.

  • IT support on systems to Customers and Production, including software testing

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to the Bowers Group Sales Director, the Bowers Group General Sales Managers’ principal job responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the Bowers Group Internal Sales Team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Oversee all aspects of the Bowers Camberley sales office to ensure efficient operation
  • Develop site operational / strategic plans and oversee their implementation to ensure achieving the group’s strategy, growth and profit objectives.
  • Provide strong leadership to the internal sales personnel on site, ensuring high morale, team work and good employee relations, at all levels.
  • Meet and subsequently exceed performance targets ensuring profitability of the internal sales team.
  • Accomplishes internal sales objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
  • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
  • Personally observe the performance of the internal sales team on a regular basis.
  • Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximising business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can flourish.
