Finishing Operative

    Bowers Bradford are looking to recruit a Finishing Operative to join the Bradford Works Facility, on a full-time basis working Monday to Friday. This opportunity will have a good level of job variety, challenge, and satisfaction for the right candidate.

    Reporting to the Finishing Department Supervisor; the primary responsibility of the Finishing Operative is to prepare components by deburring, polishing and bead blasting processes prior to subsequent Chrome Plating, Anodising and Assembly operations.

    Furthermore, the job-holder will perform minor equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties within the assigned area, whilst complying with the standard operating procedures and site Health & Safety policies and processes at all times.

    The successful applicant will have a formal Mechanical Manufacture Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience), with previous experience working within a similar high precision and busy shop floor environment. Proven understanding of precision machining and measurement is essential, and experience of electroplating processes is advantageous.

    Candidates will be confident individuals with a great work ethic and a methodical, logical approach to work. The ability to follow verbal / written instruction, with time management and organisational skills, and an excellent level of accuracy essential.

    Furthermore, candidates are advised that there may be a future requirement to increase their skill set to include the Chrome Plating function.
