Area Sales Manager (South West)

LOCATION:

Home Based - with regular UK travel (ideally located within region)

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

    The Bowers Group are now recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South West Region. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge and opportunity within the Bowers Group.

    Reporting to the UK Sales Manager and based from their home, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales of the Bowers Group manufactured products, Baty Vision products, Moore and Wright products and our range of Trimos, Sylvac, Wyler and Innovatest capital products direct to end users and via an established distributor network.

    Working within the South West Region, the Area Sales Manager will develop existing customer accounts as well as develop new business in line with the company’s overall sales strategy. The job-holder will support the implementation of the Business Sales strategy, ensuring sales activity is consistent with the aims and requirements of the Business. In addition, this role will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, working alongside the product specialists to develop technical customer quotations, to meet customer expectations.

    The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced and demanding sales environment, with demonstrable success selling engineering / measuring equipment to a wide range of clients in the manufacturing industry. Previous experience prospecting, closing and growing business accounts within a similar regional management role is required.

    Applicants will be in possession of an ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or alternatively, will have equivalent relevant Metrology experience. The ability to interpret engineering drawings, in order to understand customer applications and specific measuring requirements is desirable.

    The successful candidate will be technically minded, flexible, adaptable, professional and self-motivated, with the ability to provide and deliver outstanding customer service, in a high pressured, result oriented environment.

    In addition, to be considered for this role applicants must be in possession of a valid full UK driving licence and will be comfortable with occasional travel and periods working away from home.
