Bowers' Testing Time for Vickers

Bowers Metrology has launched an advanced range of Micro-Vickers Hardness Testers. Further expanding the company’s impressive material testing range, the cost effective Nexus 410 Series bench-mounted testers boast motorised turrets, easy to use integrated hardness calculators and, dependant on model purchased, analogue or digital measuring microscopes.

All models feature fully automatic, 4 position turrets for Micro Vickers / Knoop measurement. The choice of turret configurations consists of 3 objectives and 1 indenter, or 2 objectives and 2 indenters (Vickers and Knoop.) In addition, a dual Vickers / Knoop turret option is also available.

Bowers claims that its new hardness testing range offers outstanding accuracy, reliability and, thanks to a new user friendly interface, excellent ease of use. Each tester’s intuitive control panel gives access to features such as start/stop test, light intensity, dwell time, print and clear, whilst a high-resolution display shows the precise length of diagonals, hardness values, converted value, test force and online statistics.

Bowers’ new Micro-Vickers Hardness Testers are able to store up to 20 test results, whilst the use of CCD-View software enables the storage of infinite amount of test results. If required, hard copy of all gathered data can be downloaded via the testers’ built-in high-speed thermal printers.

Bowers Metrology’s continuing commitment to customer service includes the provision of UKAS Certification and an efficient instrument service and repair facility. Demonstrations of any of Bowers’ advanced range of bench hardness testers can be arranged at customer’s premises.
