Bowers Group Exhibiting Precision Measurement Equipment at Thai Metalex 2018

Baty Venture XTBowers Group is exhibiting a range of metrology equipment at Thai Metalex 2018 in Bangkok from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 November 2018. On display in the UK Pavilion, stand number AP23 will be Baty’s newly designed vision system; the Venture XT, an extended range of hardness testers, and Bowers Group’s famous bore gauges.

Quality and Repeatability in Metalworking Processes

Supported by Bowers Group’s Thai agent Tonan, the Bowers Group stand will also be showcasing a variety of exclusive new products including universal gauges, setting gauges and micro gauges. Richard Grocott, Bowers Export Sales Director said: “As an important event in the Bowers Group calendar, Metalex is a fantastic opportunity to exhibit our high quality precision measurement equipment in the Asian market. With on stand technical expertise and a range of innovative products, we are looking forward to demonstrating the value of metrology equipment for quality and repeatability in metalworking processes.”

Baty Venture XT Vision System

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the Baty Venture XT, a sophisticated vision system that includes major advances in both capability and software for both contact and non-contact measurement. Features include an extended 200mm measuring range in the Z axis, and new FEA optimised column design with integral counterbalance and revised Z axis and lens/touch probe assembly. The Venture XT also boasts faster X-Y axis drives, touch screen compatible software, touch screen precision joystick, greater field of view, and magnification up to 12 x zoom.

Enhancements to the Venture XT include a major redesign of the software, providing users with a self-calibrating zoom lens with Field of View error correction, and improved auto-focus which can now find and measure from a distance in one move. The image stitching capability also allows a large XY area to be scanned and displayed as a single image. In addition, there is now a ‘layers feature’ that allows other geographical information like DXF files, dimensions and measured features to be overlaid into the camera image and reported.
