• Bowers at Southern Manufacturing

Bowers Metrology will be giving a Southern Manufacturing debut to the ingenious MicroGauge, 2-point bore gauging system. Designed for the accurate measurement of bores from 1.0 - 6.0 mm, the extremely compact gauge features a completely new integral digital readout. Also on display will be cost effective new instruments from Sylvac. The D300S is an advanced digital readout unit that is able to display the absolute displacement position of Sylvac’s extremely accurate transducer probes to a resolution of 0.1um.

  • The ‘Height’ of Shop Floor Accuracy from Bowers

Bowers Metrology has announced the launch of the Hi_Gage ONE range of digital, shop floor proof height gauges from Sylvac. Available in 400 mm and 600 mm capacities, the robust new gauges are water and coolant resistant and were designed to provide high levels of accuracy and repeatability throughout extended shop floor use.

  • Bowers’ new Caliper has μm Accuracy

Bowers Metrology has announced the launch of the S_Cal PRO μ, micron reading digital caliper. Through the use of Sylvac’s state-of-the-art electronic operating system, a cutting-edge, hardened and ground stainless steel frame and jaws with an enhanced parallelism specification, the advanced new gauge is able to achieve an impressive repeatability figure of 3 μm.

  • Magnetic Attraction of Bowers Hardness Tester

Mindful of the difficulties involved in transporting large components to static hardness testing devices, and the need to speed-up accurate shop floor testing procedures, Bowers Metrology has launched the W-INMR/01, Portable Rockwell Hardness Tester.

  • Bowers' Testing Time for Vickers

Bowers Metrology has launched an advanced range of Micro-Vickers Hardness Testers. Further expanding the company’s impressive material testing range, the cost effective Nexus 410 Series bench-mounted testers boast motorised turrets, easy to use integrated hardness calculators and, dependant on model purchased, analogue or digital measuring microscopes.

  • Bowers Continues Capital Investment Program

As the world’s leading Bore Gauge manufacturer, Bowers Metrology has earned a reputation second to none for the quality, accuracy and robustness of its famous internal measuring devices. Over recent years Bowers has translated this ethos into a now extremely comprehensive range of general shop-floor gauges providing global industry with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all metrology needs.

  • Bowers Quality ‘Hard’ to Beat in ‘Testing’ Times

Further extending the company’s comprehensive range of material testing devices, Bowers Metrology has launched an advanced range of regular and superficial Rockwell Hardness Testers. Bowers claims that its manual W-600BDL, motorised W-600MBDL and W-600MBDL/S testers offer outstanding accuracy, reliability and durability at a very affordable price.

  • Bowers ‘Scale’ The Summit of Accuracy

UK agent for renowned Swiss company Sylvac, Bowers Metrology UK has announced the launch of a range of precision digital scales/sensors from the famous metrology manufacturer. Featuring a scale pitch of 1.000 mm and a scale maximum error specification of L/150 – L/300 (dependent on model), plus a sensor Maximum error specifications of 3um – 5um (dependent on model), the new Sylvac S_System LIN range is ideal for both incorporating into new developments and retro-fitting to existing applications. The easy to integrate system has a maximum length of 1140 mm and has the important advantages of a relatively small profile and overall dimensions.

  • Baty at Eighty

Now in its 80th anniversary year Bowers Group member, Baty International is able to reflect on its proud history and look to the future with great confidence. Currently experiencing record levels of business, the well known company now offers its most comprehensive range of products to date. From an all-inclusive range of Metrology Instruments and Hand Tools, to its renowned Vision Measuring Systems, Baty claim to provide solutions for almost every measurement application within modern manufacturing.

  • New Bowers Gauge Makes ‘Light’ Work of Large Diameters

Prompted by industry’s need for a convenient means of accurately measuring large internal and external diameters and lengths, Bowers Metrology’s busy R&D Department has developed a new modular, Carbon Fibre Comparator Beam Gauge. Suitable for precisely measuring critical diameters and lengths of more than 4000mm, the use of Carbon Fibre enables Bowers’ advanced new gauge to overcome many of the drawbacks previously encountered when using traditional metal beam gauges. Even at a span of 4 meters, Bowers’ new comparator is light enough for operators to handle with ease. Moreover, the inherent stiffness and excellent co-efficient of thermal expansion properties of the gauges’ material helps it to deliver outstanding levels of accuracy and repeatability.
