Sales & Demonstration Engineer

Bradford with extensive UK travel

Full-time | Permanent

Enjoy getting hands-on with engineering products and showing customers what they can do?

Bowers Group are looking for a Sales & Demonstration Engineer to join our UK Sales team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining technical product demonstrations, customer engagement and practical engineering work. You’ll spend time both out on the road supporting sales activity and at our Bradford production facility, assisting with the development and assembly of optical and vision equipment.

You’ll take responsibility for the planning, coordination and day-to-day operation of our Mobile Metrology Centre (MMC), driving it to customer sites and delivering product demonstrations alongside our Area Sales Managers and Technical Specialists. You’ll help identify sales opportunities, support existing customers and distribution partners, prepare customer presentations and get involved in UK events and exhibitions. You’ll also use our additional demonstration vehicle to support product demonstrations, carry out test measurements and provide technical support to help drive sales and develop new business.

When you’re not out demonstrating products, you’ll get hands-on experience at our Bradford production facility, working alongside colleagues to support the development and assembly of optical and vision machines and equipment. This practical work will help you develop your technical knowledge and understanding of the products you’ll be demonstrating to customers.

We’re looking for someone with an engineering or manufacturing background who’s confident working with customers and demonstrating products. Experience with metrology equipment, inspection and measurement software, and interpreting technical drawings to identify suitable inspection solutions would be beneficial. You’ll need to be organised, able to manage your own workload and work well as part of a team. A relevant engineering qualification or practical experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering would be an advantage.

The role involves extensive travel across the UK, occasional trips to Ireland and some overnight stays, so flexibility is important. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you’ll need to be comfortable driving a 3.5-tonne commercial vehicle.

If you enjoy combining engineering knowledge with customer interaction and getting out on the road to demonstrate what great products can do, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us an email telling us why this is the role for you, along with your CV and salary expectations (careers@spearandjacksongroup.com).

Please note that you must have the Right to Work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
