Home-Based (with extensive travel)

Bowers Group are looking to recruit an experienced and talented Area Sales Manager to join their team. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge, and opportunity in this area of the Bowers Group.

The Bowers Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for the sales of Bowers Group manufactured products, Baty Vision products, Moore and Wright and our range of Trimos, Sylvac, Wyler and Innovatest capital products direct to end users and via an established distributor network.

Within their geographical sales area of responsibility, the ASM will be responsible for developing existing customer accounts as well as developing new business in line with the company overall sales strategy.

To be considered for this role applicants must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with success selling engineering / measuring equipment to a wide range of clients in a manufacturing industry
  • In possession of ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or with proven relevant metrology experience is preferable
  • Experience of managing a budget, KPIS and strategy planning
  • Previous experience prospecting, closing and growing business accounts
  • Knowledge of the engineering distributor network would be ideal
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings to understand customer applications and specific measuring requirements
  • Ability to meet deadlines and efficient time and workload management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels
  • First-class customer service skills and in possession of excellent relationship management techniques
  • Able to work creatively on initiative and make sound commercial decisions
  • Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
