At Bowers Group, part of the Spear & Jackson Group, we’re looking for an Assembly Operative to join our team in Bradford. Working in the Assembly Department, you’ll help build precision measuring equipment used across a range of industries.
The role is hands-on and practical. You’ll carry out general assembly work across our bore gauging product range fitting components, assembling units, and following clear procedures to ensure everything meets company standards. Accuracy is key, and you’ll be expected to complete work to agreed timescales without compromising quality.
You’ll work as part of a team, supporting the day-to-day running of the department and adapting to changing priorities when needed. Maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following health and safety guidelines will be part of your routine.
We’re looking for someone with a good eye for detail and a careful, consistent approach. Previous assembly experience is helpful but not essential because what matters most is your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. You should be comfortable following instructions, working to deadlines, and contributing as part of a team.
