Are you a highly skilled CNC Miller who enjoys working in a busy shopfloor environment?
If so, this role working in our Application Gauging area at our factory in Bradford, could be for you.
What you’ll be doing...
- Programme, set-up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to perform precision milling operations on small batches and fixtures.
- Review engineering drawings and understand the specifications and tolerancing.
- Analyse sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of the operations needed to produce products.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines and manufacture tooling where suitable tooling is not available.
What about you...
- You may have a mechanical engineering qualification, or you may be qualified through experience
- Proficient in creation and modification of CNC code ‘at the machine’
- Experience in a similar high precision environment, with proven understanding of CNC machinist responsibilities
- Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminium, and brass.
- Experience of programming using CADCAM software advantageous
- Good level of H&S understanding - safety conscious
- Previous experience of Programming HAAS/Fanuc controlled Vertical Machines.
