Reporting to the Business & Product Development Director, the Product Development Engineer will operate primarily as a software test and development Engineer for products in the Vision systems and Profile Projector categories. This role will require a close working relationship with both suppliers and the production / tech support functions internally.

To be considered for this role applicants must be:
Good level of academic achievement to degree level or equivalent (ideally in an Mechanical Engineering discipline which covered modules in Metrology, CAD and instrumentation & control), combined with previous relatable work experience
Experience in software development / testing and building / testing PC hardware / issue control would be preferred.
Experience in producing relevant release documentation, user guides and manuals.
Evidence of Competency in the following key aspects: -
Supporting measurement software within a windows OS environment
Experience of specifying systems and software & working with 3rd party suppliers
Familiar with Project management approaches and key elements
An understanding of Assembly instruction through reverse engineering
Experience with multiple UI’s including WinForms, WPF, QT, GTK#
Good working knowledge of quality standards and application.
