The Moore & Wright MWT-2600 is an Electromagnetic Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge used to measure the thickness of conductive materials, most commonly metals, without the need for direct contact or coupling gels. It uses electromagnetic interaction to generate ultrasonic waves at the material’s surface and analyses the echoes after they travel through the material and back to the surface. As there's no disruption to the part during measurement, it's ideal for inspecting challenging applications such as pipelines or pressure vessels.
In addition to high-accuracy measurements of material length, the gauge is equipped with functions to assess material integrity, or detect corrosion, erosion, and wear.
It will work on coated, hot, or moving surfaces where conventional ultrasonic gauges may struggle.
An optional high temperature probe allows measurements of materials up to 800°C, allowing for measurements in the field without the need to stop for cooling. Perfect for industries such as oil and gas, power generation, aerospace, and manufacturing.
