The MWT-3600 Shore Durometer measures material hardness using the Shore A scale, ideal for measurements of softer materials such as silicone, vinyl and rubbers. As the device is pressed into a material, the spring-loaded indenter applies a calibrated force to the surface, creating a small indentation. The durometer uses the depth of this indentation to calculate the material's hardness from 0 and 100HA, displaying the result on the LCD to the nearest 0.5HA.
