Quality Inspector

Bradford

Full-time | Permanent

Got a keen eye for detail and a drive to get things right?

Bowers Group are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team at our Bradford site. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our products meet quality standards, customer specifications and engineering requirements.

You’ll carry out inspections at different stages of production, from incoming materials and components through to finished products. Using precision measuring equipment, you’ll check products against engineering drawings and technical specifications, record your findings and identify any non-conformances. You’ll also carry out first article inspections where required and help ensure measuring equipment remains correctly calibrated.

Working closely with colleagues in Production and Quality, you’ll support investigations into quality issues, root cause analysis and corrective actions, as well as continuous improvement activities. You’ll also assist with customer and supplier quality concerns, participate in internal audits and help maintain compliance with relevant quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and UKAS ISO 17025.

We’re looking for someone with previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, who can read engineering drawings, has an understanding of GD&T and is confident using precision measuring equipment or be willing to develop your skills in this area. Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills and accurate record-keeping are essential for this role. Experience in precision engineering, machining or fabrication would be beneficial, along with knowledge of ISO 9001, UKAS ISO 17025, CMM equipment or quality software. An HNC/HND in engineering and an internal auditor qualification would also be advantageous.

This is a full-time, site-based role at our Bradford facility, where you’ll work alongside colleagues to help ensure our products consistently meet the standards our customers rely on.

If this sounds good, then drop us an email telling us why this is the role for you, along with your CV and salary expectations (careers@spearandjacksongroup.com).

Please note that you must have the Right to Work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
