Are you a highly skilled CNC Technician who enjoys working in a busy shopfloor environment?
If so, this may be the role for you.
What you’ll be doing …
- You will set, adjust, and operate Fanuc controlled CNC machines to perform precision turning & milling operations on small batches ranging from 50-off to 1000-off parts
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
- Read engineering drawings and understand the specifications and tolerancing
- Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of the operations needed to produce products
What about you …
- You may have a mechanical engineering qualification, or you may be qualified through experience
- Previous experience working on Turn / Mill or Mill / Turn Multi-Axis Machines
- Experience in a similar high precision environment, with proven understanding of CNC machinist responsibilities
- Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminium and brass.
- Previous experience of operating Nakamura, Citizen sliding head or DMG MORI mill / turn machines is advantageous
- Ability to read technical /engineering drawings with a good understanding of tolerancing/geometrical tolerancing
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Methodical & logical approach to work
- Team player, but also able to work on your own initiative
