Bowers Group are seeking a Laboratory Inspector to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory in Bradford. This role is critical to maintaining the quality and accuracy of our products, carrying out in-house calibration and inspection of metrology equipment in line with established procedures, standards and customer expectations.
Working within the laboratory team, you’ll inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy, record results clearly and accurately, and complete all associated works order documentation. You’ll be expected to manage your workload effectively to ensure inspection activities support production deadlines, while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality and attention to detail.
You will be a proactive and reliable individual who takes pride in your work and understands the importance of accuracy in a precision engineering environment. You’ll communicate closely with colleagues across production and inspection to ensure work is completed on time, to specification and without compromise. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment will be a key part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
We’re looking for someone with a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in a similar inspection or calibration role. A good working knowledge of metrology hand tools is essential, along with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with varied demands.
